These standard duty wrist weights from Altus Athletic™ can be effectively used to add resistance to arm movement patterns and are often used when performing pronation drills, for scapular stabilization exercises, and for shoulder/arm strengthening motions. These wrist weights are ideal for exercise activities where slow, deliberate, and controlled movements are desired. Using these devices for explosive activities is not recommended unless following an established exercise protocol while under the supervision of a knowledgeable coach.
Constructed of durable nylon material, these wrist weights have outside pockets to hold weight packets. Weights can easily be added or removed to adjust heaviness of the device. These implements are available in three models: the Five Pound (two 2.5 lb wrist weights); Ten Pound which has a fixed weight (two 5 lb wrist weights); and the Twenty Pound (two 10 lb wrist weights). The weights may be lessened if desired by removing the weight packets to achieve the wanted resistance.
These Standard Duty Wrist Weights are recommended for personal (individual) and commercial/institutional use. They have easily adjustable hook and loop closures for a secure fit and may also be used as ankle weights if desired. While they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use, they are not intended for use in water or exposure to extreme weather conditions. Instructions for use are not included.
