During my last blog I discussed some exercises that could be utilized to improve thoracic spine mobility. I ran across these pictures from the Texas Baseball Ranch of athletes performing some drills working to improve their thoracic spine.

Like I mentioned before, there are numerous drills which can be done to help improve the spine and these are just a few.  Improving the thoracic spine is extremely important to athletes who perform rotational movements.  A lack of mobility in the upper spine will create stress to be placed on your lumbar and neck and can also have a detrimental impact on performance as the amount of torque you can generate may be decreased.  Look back in the next few days as I post a blog on stability and mobility in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist.
