The TAP Double Handle Medicine Ball provides an amazing variety of training options. The dual handles provide a firm reliable grip making it ideal for a wide range of exercises, including swings and rotational movement training. With this tool it is possible to replicate many movement patterns found in sports creating an ideal instrument to achieve functional fitness and sports-specific conditioning goals.
Adding the TAP Double Handle Medicine ball to a training routine is a great way to insert change into an exercise program to make it more challenging and promote variety by introducing a novel stimulus for physiological adaptation. Following the precept of the human body being a ‘Self-Organizing Organism’, exercises with the handle medicine ball embraces the concept of the human body’s ability to learn and adapt from training and movement.
TAP Handle medicine ball exercises train the body to function as a unit instead of separate parts, creating functional movements which can mimic body positions and movement speeds that occur in game situations. Unlike free weights and machines that isolate and train individual muscles or muscle groups, the handle medicine ball allows power moves with resistance in every plane of motion—front to back, side to side, and in rotation. It is an amazingly simple and effective tool for training explosive power and rotational core strength, particularly abdominals and obliques, providing rotational athletes an efficient and effective exercise device.

The 4 and 6 pound balls have a diameter of 7.2 inches (183 mm); the 8 pound ball has a diameter of 9.1 inches (230 mm); and the 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 pound balls have a diameter of 10.8 inches (275 mm).
